**Major/Essential Functions:**
+ Provide inpatient and outpatient consultation and management for pediatric rheumatologic conditions
+ Participate in the education of medical students and residents
+ Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including but not limited to, pediatric orthopedics, nephrology, infectious disease, dermatology, and physical therapy
+ Contribute to community outreach and education regarding pediatric rheumatologic conditions
+ Participate in the development of Pediatric Rheumatology clinical protocols, guidelines, and subspecialty expansion efforts
+ Ensure compliance with HIPM and billing regulations
+ Adhere to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
+ Uphold and promote the values-based culture of TTUHSC El Paso
+ Serve the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work and other administrative duties
+ Contribute to the community through academically-related public service complementary to the institutional mission
+ Engage in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship
+ Demonstrate professionalism in accordance with the Paul L.

**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Bilingual (English and Spanish)
+ Experience in teaching Pediatric Rheumatology to medical students and residents in clinical and classroom settings
+ Board Certification in Pediatric Rheumatology by the American Board of Pediatrics
+ Emerging or established regional or national reputation for the rank of associate professor or higher

**Required Qualifications:**
+ M.D. or D.O. degree, or foreign equivalent medical degree
+ Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatrics Residency program
+ Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Rheumatology fellowship program
+ Texas medical license, or eligibility for medical licensure in Texas
