Job Description
This shift is 40 hours per week Tuesday-Friday 12p-8p; Saturday 8a-4p Must be able to work flexible as needed .The pay rate for this position is $23.50 per hour plus a comprehensive benefits package. QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent preferredOne year’s experience working with people with developmental disabilitiesSix months’ supervisory experience preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsValid NY State Driver’s License requiredMust be able to pass a pre-employment road test and drive an agency vehicle RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide ongoing protective oversight to people living in the residence24/7 On-Call accessibilityAssist with scheduling, personnel-related issues, training of residential staff and other delegated tasksProvide on-going supervision of residential staffProvide assistance and instruction for each person in basic activities of daily livingProvide training and support for each person in accordance with the person’s program planComplete staff performance evaluationsParticipate as required at all IDT or Life Plan meetings and OPWDD surveysBe available to all staff for coaching and observation around Person-Centered SupportsParticipate in the selection and evaluation of staffSuccessfully complete the AMAP course and annual recertificationGeneral lifting is required (ie: laundry, groceries etc.)Drive agency vehicles; demonstrate safe driving practices; participate in agency driver safety courseEnsure cleanliness of vehicles; address any maintenance issuesResponsible for NYS Vehicle Inspection and all routine maintenance of agency vehiclesConduct road tests with prospective and current employees on agency’s vehicle in accordance with Life’s WORC road test procedures.Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment including a weekly walk-throughs with Residence ManagerProperly use and maintain household equipment and appliancesAttend all required meetings and trainings on time and prepared.Ensure for adherence to agency quality standards of operation; make decisions in conjunction with and in the absence of the Residence Manager that drive operational processesBecome skilled with agency software (ie: Medisked, Outlook, Ultipro etc.)Responsible for adhering to agency policies (Cash Policy, Medisked Attestation etc.)Assist people supported in planning, coordinating and attending community integration/inclusion activities within their homes and communityAdhere to agency quality standards of operationAdhere to paperwork time frame submissionsPerform other duties as assignedThis shift is 40 hours per week.
