Position description
Assistant Project Scientist (part-time, 50%) - Alexander Hoffmann Lab
The part-time (50%) Assistant Project Scientist candidate will lead a small team of student researchers to develop quantitative models and analysis tools of the humoral antibody response to vaccination.
Specific responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
+ Develop analysis tools that interpret BCR repertoire sequencing data.
+ Develop experimental tools for scRNAseq analysis of lymph nodes upon vaccination.
+ Coordinate animal vaccine studies with collaborating laboratories, that include flow cytometry, scRNAseq, and spatial transcriptomics.
+ Provide technical and scientific guidance to graduate students and undergraduate researchers in the B-cell team, for both experimental and the computational work.
+ Assist with preparation of grant proposals.
+ Preparation of manuscripts for publication in scientific journals.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Engineering or related field.
• Multiple years of experience in immunology; technical skills in relevant experimental approaches, and in computational data analysis and mathematical modeling approaches.
