Assistant Property Manager Job Opening In LaGrange – Now Hiring Hallmark Management


Job description

The Hallmark Company is currently hiring for a dynamic Assistant Property Manager to provide support and oversight for the business function of a multifamily Tax Credit/HUD property.

The Assistant Property Manager will also be responsible for bookkeeping and marketing efforts, and leasing functions.

The responsibilities of an Assistant Property Manager are as follows:

  • Manage the bookkeeping functions of the property by overseeing rents, occupancies and expenditures.
  • Lead marketing effort to promote awareness of and occupancy within the community.
  • Supervise leasing programs to maintain maximum occupancy.
  • Manage emergency situations when necessary and communicate issues to home office.
  • Coordinate resident relations, which includes taking resident phone calls, requests and concerns.
  • Process renewal and delinquent notices and follow up as necessary.
  • Oversee daily leasing paperwork and proper completion of service requests.
  • Assist with completing daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Schedules maintenance work orders, inspects vacant apartments, schedules repair work and inspections.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

The qualifications for an Assistant Property Manager are as follows:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

    Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Yardi/ Bluemoon experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Exposure to property management software and accounting software.
  • Experience with Tax Credit/HUD multi-family housing preferred.
  • Able to multitask and meet deadlines in a timely and organized manner.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
  • Must be able to tour the community with clients, which includes walking the property and climbing stairs.
  • Fair Housing Certificate required.
  • A valid drivers license required.
