Job Summary

The Department of Mathematics at the University of Colorado Boulder invites applications for a non-tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor, to commence January 2026.

Initial appointment will be for 2.5 years and is renewable.

Primary duties will include teaching four courses each semester (or three courses in semesters when there is coordination of one of our multi-section courses).

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Mathematics or Mathematics Education, and experience teaching mathematics at the university level.

Some supervisory experience (e.g., supervising TAs) is desirable, and preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate enthusiasm about modern pedagogical techniques and who desire to stay abreast of curricular developments.

Who We Are

The Department of Mathematics has a broad range of research interests, including Algebraic and Differential Geometry, Combinatorics, Logic and Foundations, Mathematical Physics, Partial Differential Equations, Number Theory, Noncommutative Geometry, Operator Algebras, Probability, and Topology.

The Department has twenty-four tenured and tenure-track faculty members and eight teaching faculty members, as well as eleven postdoctoral fellows.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
