The University of Utah School of Medicine’s Department of Human Genetics (www.genetics.utah.edu) is hiring **computational genomics faculty** to expand its exceptional research strength in this area, recent growth, and the potential for future research growth.

In this year’s recruitment, we are searching for outstanding applicants for one or more tenure-track positions at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor.

We seek highly creative scientists who combine innovative computational approaches with genomics techniques to understand genome biology or the genetics of human disease.

Specifically, this search is focused on recruiting faculty with a primary research focus on the use of innovative computational approaches with genomic or other health-related datasets for translational genomics research and applications.

Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to generating or integrating experimental data to foster innovative methods development, biological insight, and translational impact.

The recruited faculty will synergize with and extend the existing strengths of the current leaders in this space and build upon the cutting-edge research in the Utah Center for Genetic Discovery and the Center for Genomic Medicine at the University of Utah.

This search is focused on recruitment to the Department of Human Genetics; however, it is an institutional initiative and candidates may also be considered for positions in the Department of Biomedical Informatics.
