    The Department of Mechanical Engineering (ME) at the Prescott Campus is seeking a non-tenure track faculty member to teach classes and support the Aerospace Engineering (AE) department by providing opportunities for the AE students to take ME capstone in the off-cycle semesters.

    The successful candidate will be expected to teach a full course load each semester.

    The position is available in Fall of 2025 at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level.

    The Mechanical Engineering program offers three tracks where students can focus their studies: Energy, Propulsion, and Robotics.

    The department is particularly interested in candidates with interest and industry experience in the propulsion or energy sectors.

    Candidates with a strong background in engineering design and product development are strongly encouraged to apply.

    The College of Engineering (COE) faculty are housed in a modern academic complex, which is adjacent to robotics, mechatronics, propulsion, and wind tunnel laboratories.

    The COE faculty also make extensive use of the Aerospace Experimentation and Fabrication laboratory complex.

    This building consists of a fabrication suite, space systems lab, structural dynamics lab, materials science lab, mechanical testing lab, structures lab, and dedicated faculty research labs.

    The recently completed Propulsion and Aerodynamics Complex is a 12,000 square foot building that houses resources and space for both the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Departments.

    The STEM Education building is home to the Robotics and Thermal-Energy Labs, our Rapid Prototyping Lab and the Jim and Linda Lee Planetarium.

    All of these labs feature state-of-the-art equipment for undergraduate student use.

    Qualifications

    An earned Doctorate in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and related experience is desired, but candidates with significant industry experience and a Masters degree are strongly encouraged to apply.
