POSITION DETAILS
The Associate Director for Admissions Events and Programming (Admissions Manager) will report to the Director of Undergraduate Admissions and Recruitment.
In addition to the CUNY Title Overview, the Associate Director for Admissions Events and Programming will be responsible for the following duties:
• Manages and implements comprehensive leadership development programs (Student Ambassadors, Student Admissions Leaders, Orientation Leaders) that serve as a primary recruitment strategy.
This includes hiring, training, and supervising all participants.
• Utilizes the student leadership programs (Student Ambassadors, Student Admissions Leaders, Orientation Leaders) strategically to help advance the enrollment goals of the College while simultaneously providing a valuable experience for the participants.
• Plans and executes large-scale admissions events including New Student Orientation, Admitted Students Day, CBO/non-profit weekend, Arts Open House, and others.
• Produces innovative admissions programming and serves as the point person for running all on-campus events for prospective and admitted students.
This includes oversight of new virtual
programming initiatives.
• Fosters partnerships with campus departments, student affairs professionals, faculty, and external organizations to facilitate collaborative opportunities for recruitment of new incoming class, and for student leadership growth and engagement.
• Leads on-campus visit/tour program and serves as the main point of contact for visiting groups, high school counselors, students, and parents.
• Implements assessment tools and metrics to gauge the effectiveness and impact of student leaderships programs (Student Ambassadors, Student Admissions Leaders, Orientation Leaders).
• Develops and maintains a strategic social media presence to utilize student leaders as a recruitment tool.
This includes managing student participation in tools such as UniBuddy, CampusReel, and other platforms.
• Serves as a member of the admissions and recruitment team by being a part of the application review process, managing assigned recruitment territory, and working with counselors and students from that territory.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree and six years’ related experience required.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of higher education enrollment trends and marketing preferences for prospective student audiences.
• Flexibility and resourcefulness working in a fast-paced environment.
• A high level of organization and attention to detail.
Ability to effectively communicate with
• senior level leadership and faculty members.
• Capacity to work efficiently and independently on multiple tasks.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple groups of people.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• This position requires travel, evening, and weekend work.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Master's degree with 4-5 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience combined.

Salary commensurate with education and experience $79,188-$93,491.
