Job Description
This Automation Engineer role supports the automated final assembly process in our Milwaukee, WI facility.
You will be part of a team focused on improving, supporting, and maintaining the fully automated production line meant as a showcase of both Rockwell hardware and software.
This is a high visibility role in a data rich environment that requires cross-functional collaboration with teams throughout the company and interaction with customers to showcase Rockwell's capabilities.
You will work onsite from Milwaukee, WI and report to the Team Lead, Automation Engineering.
Your Responsibilities:
Leverage automation and controls experience to optimize the machines on a highly automated lineMaintain and update mechanical/assembly drawings for in-line fixturingDemonstrate an awareness of state-of-the-art and lean manufacturing concepts and practicesDemonstrate an ability to coordinate activities through all levels of the organization to achieve objectivesUtilize data analysis, computational skills, and appropriate software to maximize productivityPossess a high level of production process knowledgeTroubleshoot and resolve manufacturing problems including (but not limited to): issue with mechanical assembly machinery and fixtures, electrical issues, and controls/software related issuesTroubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues in assembly machinery and fixturesObtain, organize, and analyze data and to prepare charts and reportsLead the development and implementation of cost reduction programs and achieve department and plant targetsPerform other duties as assignedThe Essentials - You Will Have:
