**Position:** Embedded Software Engineer – Automation Test Engineer

**Location:** Remote

**About the job you’re considering**

Join our client’s innovative team as a **Automation Test Engineer** where you’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of cutting-edge autonomous software.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with a dynamic team in a Scrum environment, driving excellence through rigorous testing and detailed analysis to identify and resolve software defects.

**Your role**

+ Collaborate with project teams to understand requirements and design effective test plans and strategies.
+ Develop and maintain comprehensive test cases and supporting documentation.
+ Execute both manual and automated tests to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability.
+ Troubleshoot and debug issues identified during testing, working closely with project teams to implement solutions.
+ Conduct user acceptance testing prior to software releases.
+ Actively participate in Scrum meetings and provide regular quality updates.
+ Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing overall software quality.
+ Perform testing in lab settings, on vehicles, and in real-world field environments.

**Your skills and experience**

+ 7 years of experience in Software QA Testing or a related field.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
+ Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
+ Proficiency with test case management tools such as **JIRA** or **TestRail** .
+ Hands-on experience with automated testing tools like **Selenium** , **TestComplete** , or **Postman** .
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Proven ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
+ Experience working in Agile software development environments.
+ Willingness and enthusiasm to learn the **Linux operating system** and proprietary software installation and diagnostics.
+ Experience with **Jama RM** software is a plus.
