Job Description:
• The client team was formed to revolutionize the way Client engineers electrical vehicles (EV) so that they are exciting for the public, affordable, profitable, and of exceptional quality.
• This team of engineers has started to capture requirements in Jama, a new process for the client engineers.
• Client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Requirement Database Engineer to support the powertrain and Systems Modeling teams for a duration of two months (which could be extended to up to four months).
• The Requirement Database Engineer will author and manage requirements and test cases using the software tool Jama, perform reviews with the engineering organization, and prepare the release and approval process.
Ideal Background & Skills
• A software and power electronics background—including experience with inverters, eBoxes, battery management systems, HV chargers, etc.—would be ideal, especially when combined with requirement management experience in Jama.
• Proficiency with DFMEAs is desired, particularly in document-centric formats like Excel.
• Familiarity with DEXPERIENCE (DX) is a plus, but training can be provided as it is considered a niche skill.
Project Objectives:
• Establishment of Requirements: Review and decompose existing requirements into atomic requirements using Jama.
Support the engineering organization with authoring new requirements using the Easy Approach to Requirements Syntax (EARS) process.
• Requirement Structure: Organize requirements by system, sub-system, and component in collaboration with the engineering organization.
• Link requirements across systems to maintain traceability.
• Requirements Validation: Manage and link test cases to requirements and support requirement owners with documentation.
• Approval Preparation: Review requirements and test cases against the EARS standard and prepare the approval and release process.
• Systems Modeling Team Requirements: Host review meetings to gather and refine requirements.
• Establishment of FMEAs in DX.
• Training of a Client employee to take over the scope post-contract.
Deliverables:
• Updated, detailed, structured, and validated requirements in Jama for power unit and battery.
• Updated, detailed, structured, reviewed, and validated requirements in Jama for L Systems Modeling, Cell, and Vehicle Testing.
• Jama test case creation or relationship mapping for L Systems Modeling requirements.
• Supplementary data provision via Jama using simulation test scenarios and reporting dashboards.
• Documented FMEA process creation in DX.
• Training report.
