Maintenance Technician B - (II)
Transdev in Lancaster, California is seeking an experienced B-Level Mechanic to bolster our team.

This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles and equipment.

As a Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
+ Conduct diagnostic tests using advanced tools and software to troubleshoot engine issues.
+ Perform moderate complexity repairs and replacements on engine components, ensuring optimal functionality.
+ Assist A-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow.
+ Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize engine performance.
+ Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for engines.
+ Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
+ Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge
+ Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs to ensure vehicles are safe for our customers.
+ Diagnose and perform accurately all phases of vehicle and equipment repair including the repair of brakes, HVAC systems, engine tune-ups, suspensions, drive trains, transmissions, electrical systems, drivability and other repairs
+ Assist with road calls and emergency service repairs
+ Ensure work orders are completed properly and accurately.

Maintain records of all maintenance work completed including parts and supplies used.
+ Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
+ Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
+ 5 years of experience as a Mechanic, preferred.
+ 21 years or older
+ Valid driver’s license required with a clean driving record.
+ Good fabrication and problem-solving skills
+ Excellent communication skills.
+ 5+ years of automotive or electric vehicle repair employment experience or combination of education & experience.
+ Ability to pass a DOT physical examination, including a background and a drug test.
+ Must have appropriate mechanic’s tool set.
+ ASE certifications preferred; ASE certification program provided
+ Mechanic’s Tool Set
+ Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.

DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.


Physical Requirements:
+ Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
+ Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
+ Ability to perform work in all weather conditions
+ The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, standing.
+ Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
