**Overview:**
_We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Autonomous Driver to join our elite team in Atwater, CA.

As a key member, you will be entrusted with ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for our passengers, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service._

Transdev’s Autonomous Specialist’s are critical to the success of delivering safe autonomous driving systems to our customers, enabling a revolutionary mobility experience._
_The Autonomous Specialist is responsible for operating and evaluating a self-driving vehicle in autonomous mode, including collecting data and providing feedback, and offering ride hail service to the general public._
Competitive compensation package of minimum $26.00 – Maximum $31.00

**Key Responsibilities:**
+ _Maintain Transdev’s high standard of safety, inside and outside of the vehicle;_
+ _Consistently demonstrate situational awareness, an understanding of the technology in his/her care, and a willingness to constantly adjust to changes in the environment;_
+ _Be the deputy for technology by communicating courteously always with management, engineers, and the public;_
+ _Operate/Drive in single and/or dual driving, (assignment may be alone or with a co-driver) five days a week; able to sit still for long periods of time;_
+ _Capable of responding quickly to changing and potentially high-pressure environments;_
+ _Work mostly individually but also in small groups of 2-10 people;_
+ _Operate a vehicle 6-8 hours a day, 5 days a week;_
+ _Provide rides in the autonomous vehicle to the general public._
+ _Monitor multiple software systems with constant focus;_
+ _Provide concise, clear, and accurate verbal and written feedback regarding the vehicle’s operations;_
+ _Operate the vehicle on paved rough surfaces in a closed course facility;_
+ _Complete daily reports and document procedures and tests._
+ _Interact with the members of the public in a polite and professional manner, and assist in educating them on self-driving technology when necessary_
+ _Operate autonomous vehicles on both defined and undefined routes, including a variety of environmental conditions._
+ _Operate onboard data recording computers;_
+ _Comfortable riding as a passenger in an autonomous vehicle, where the driver may have little control over the vehicle’s operations._
+ _Must be able to work assigned shift_
+ All other duties as assigned
**Required Education and Experience:**
+ _Minimum of 3 years of experience driving on public roads.

Additional experience is preferred;_
+ _High School Diploma or GED required.

Four-year college degree (preferred) in a related field like industrial or applied sciences;_
**Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs):**
+ _Ability to parallel park with minimal assistance._
+ _Proficiency with a laptop computer and GSuite apps (i.e. Gmail, Hangouts, and Driver, including Sheets and Docs);_
+ _Proficiency with using a touchscreen smartphone (Android preferred by not required); and_
+ _Must have good attention to detail and be able to quickly and concisely describe their thoughts;_
+ _Capable of responding quickly and simultaneously to multiple scenarios;_
+ _Adapt quickly to new and developing technology;_
+ _Cross-functional verbal and written communication and issue escalation;_
+ _Must be able to multitask multiple technologies, including communications devices and vehicle status systems;_
+ _Must be able to work specific shifts, including early mornings, evenings, overnights and/or weekends, as well as travel for up to one month;_
+ _Travel up to 20% of the time_
+ _Excellent written and verbal communication skills; and_
+ _Must be self-motivated and demonstrate good judgment, in fast-paced, high stress environments._
**Physical Requirements:**
+ **_Occasional standing, walking, and long periods of sitting._**
+ **_Use hands to finger; handle or feel; and talk or hear; climb stairs and/or ladders._**
+ **_Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl._**
+ _Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds._
+ _Must use close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus._
+ _Most work is accomplished outdoors in a vehicle._
**Pre-Employment Requirements:**
+ _Must be 21 years old;_
+ _Does not have more than 1 point on the driving record (California), or one non-major moving violation in the preceding three years;_
+ _Has not had any driver’s license suspension or revocation based on driving or operating any_
_vehicle under the influence of alcohol or any drug in the past 10 years;_
+ _Has not ever been the at-fault driver of a motor vehicle involved in an accident that resulted in_
_injury or death of any person._
+ _Must have and maintain a driving record that meets state AVT (Autonomous Vehicle Tester) and/or other applicable regulations and laws; and_
+ _Meets driver requirements, including driving record and criminal history under applicable regulations and laws in the state(s) in which the autonomous vehicle monitor will be working;_
+ _All Transdev employees must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
