$1000 Sign-On Bonus

Community Bridges is looking for 1 full-time Behavioral Specialist in Concord, NH!

We are a non-profit agency founded in 1982 with a mission to advance the integration, growth, and interdependence of people with developmental disabilities within their own communities.

Building on the strengths of over 1,100 individuals in the greater Capital Area and their families, we work to identify barriers of access to find creative solutions to develop meaningful community engagement.

 

Qualifications:

  • EducationMaster's Degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Mental Health, or other related field or within 6 months of completing a Master's Degree program in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Mental Health, or other related field
  • Experience: At least two years' experience working with people who have intellectual disability that engage in challenging behaviors.

 

Compensation & Benefits:

There is a $1000 sign-on bonus for this position - $500 will be paid at the time of hire and $500 will be paid after 6 months in the role.

*Please note, sign-on bonuses are for new hires only.

Re-hires and transfers are not eligible at this time.

Paid Time Off: For a full-time employee working 40 hours a week, 22 days of Paid Time Off is received per year! PTO days will increase over the years based on longevity and there is no waiting period to start using your PTO!

Insurance: Medical, Dental, Vision, 403b with 1% company match, Excellent Paid Time Off, Life Insurance, Employer-paid Short Term Disability, and Employer paid Life Insurance.

Mileage Reimbursement: Employees are reimbursed for approved mileage driven on the clock.

Paid Training: As an employee, you are paid your usual rate of pay while attending training!

 

Current Open Position Available:

Full Time - 40 hours per week

 

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized type and level of supports to include, but not limited to; referrals from internal clients and external cases to perform Functional Behavioral Assessments and the development of appropriate behavioral strategies/plans, utilizing current best practice for Positive Behavioral Supports and in compliance with Regional Behavioral Standards; and all associated tasks, such as implementation of data collection tools, data collection and interpretation, presentation with the Human Rights Committee as appropriate, and staff training for all behavior plans and strategies.

  • Provide in-service training to staff and external contracts related to: Positive Behavioral Supports, including behavior as communication, supporting varied learning styles, and instructional methods based on current best practices, and other topics as requested/appropriate.
  • Attend seminars and trainings to maintain knowledge of best practices in the provision of Positive Behavioral Supports to individuals.
  • Encourage individuals in accessing and fostering community supports and resources such as social/cultural groups, stores, restaurants, and employment opportunities.
  • Proactive support of individuals in being a part of their community through activities such as relationship building, social interactions, exercising their roles and rights as citizens, etc.
  • Perform all duties in a manner that demonstrates an awareness of and respect for each person's legal, civil, and human rights-including maintaining confidentiality of information regarding the individual –and that ensures the respect and dignity of all persons who receive supportive services.
  • Provide all supports in a manner that takes into consideration the preferences of individuals and which actively encourages safe decision making.
  • Support individuals in engaging in a healthy lifestyle that would include attention to hygiene and self-care, with assistance provided as needed through modeling, verbal prompts, and the creation of visual aids.
  • Act as a positive role model as a means to educate the community and to eliminate preconceived notions and stereotypes about persons with disabilities.

  • Monitor all support situations as assigned, such support to include routine visits with individuals and attending individual team meetings as needed.

  • Analyze and compile relevant data and information for each individual served to ensure that each person's services and supports are effective
  • Team building and other topics geared toward enhancing the lives of people served and improving the skills of staff.

  • Represent the agency in a professional manner at all times, including adherence to agency policies and procedures.
  • Attend team meetings, agency and staff meetings, the service plan meeting and other meeting and/or conferences as requested by supervisor.

  • Provide responsive and clinically/medically sound services and supports in accordance with individual needs, desires, and dreams.

    Such supports will promote the dignity, respect of all individuals.
  • Work cooperatively with team members, families and guardians, and external entities.
  • Promote and maintain satisfactory public relations between the agency and the community.

  • Other duties as assigned.
