Benefit & Retirement Representative Job Opening In Towson – Now Hiring Cloud Consulting Services Inc

<p>Overview:</p> <p><strong>Cloud Consulting Services, Inc</strong> is a full-service IT Solutions Company that provides a variety of technical, IT, professional and administrative support services to both State and Federal government agencies.

We also support commercial clients both large and small with staff augmentation and direct hire placement.

If you are interested apply but please read the Job requirement first carefully</p> <p> </p> <p><b>Title: Benefit & Retirement Representative</b></p> <p><b>Location: Towson, MD (Onsite/Hybrid) </b></p> <p><b>Duration: 2 Years (with high possibility of extension)</b></p> <p><b>Note: </b><strong><span style="background-color:#ffff00;">The position will be in person at Towson, MD 21204.

After one month, the client may consider a hybrid work location at the sole discretion of the client.

A hybrid work location is not preferred.

The client will not consider a fully remote candidate.</span></strong></p> <p><b>Job</b> <b>Duties:</b></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Communicates information about the benefits provided by Baltimore County Public Schools to new, active, and retired personnel and their rights and responsibilities to receive those benefits.</li> <li>Responds to benefits/retirement inquiries from active/retired employees and vendors on plan provisions, enrolment, status changes and other general inquiries.</li> <li>Ensures the accuracy of all benefits/retirement enrolments in the human resources information system to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.</li> <li>Assists employees regarding claims issues and plan changes.</li> <li>Enrols employees with carriers and process life status changes.</li> <li>Processes and administers benefits for employees on leaves of absences.</li> <li>Interprets legal and regulatory implications (i.e., IRS, COBRA, ACA) as they relate to active and retired personnel.</li> <li>Performs quality checks of benefits-related data.</li> <li>Assists with compiling and/or audits reports for allocation/billing charges.</li> <li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul> <p><b>Education, Training and Experience: </b></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Possession of an associate degree or the completion of 60 or more college credits. </li> <li>Four years of experience in the administration of employee insurance benefits or related functions.</li> <li>Five years of experience in administrative support.</li>
</ul> <p><b>Licenses and Certificates:</b></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Possession of Retirement Coordinator certification issued by the State Retirement and Pension System of Maryland required (If not held at the time of hire, certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment in this position).</li> <li>Must be commissioned as a Notary Public in the State of Maryland within six months from date of hire</li> <li>Required licenses and certifications must be maintained throughout employment in this position.</li>
</ul> <p><b>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</b></p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws preferred.</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.</li> <li>Excellent organizational and time management skills.</li> <li>Ability to learn and apply a vast knowledge of rules and regulations about the benefits provided to employees and ability to communicate this information to a diverse group of employees.</li> <li>Knowledge of office practices and procedures.

Knowledge of filing systems.

Knowledge of spelling, grammar, and arithmetic.

Knowledge of personal computers and office software packages.

Knowledge of automated office systems.</li> <li>Skill in maintaining databases, spreadsheets, and logs.

Skill in maintaining filing systems.

Skill in operating personal computers and related office equipment.

Skill in providing routine information to telephone callers and office visitors.</li> <li>Ability to communicate effectively.

Ability to manage confidential information effectively.

Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.

Ability to follow rules and regulations.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.</li>
