Bilingual Receptionist (Part Time)



Job description

The DeKalb County Health Department is seeking a part-time (15-20 hours per week) receptionist.

The receptionist will greet, assist, and provide direction and information to clients and visitors of the Health Department.

The position is 15-20 hours per week, on a flexible schedule, which may be adjusted as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Welcomes clients and visitors by greeting in person and on the telephone, answering questions and referring questions to other staff members
  • Maintains reception area in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Receives mail, documents, packages and courier deliveries and distributes items
  • Performs routine clerical tasks and other duties as assigned.
  • Process walk-in birth certificate requests.


Requirements

  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with the public and employees.
  • Basic word processing, spreadsheet and database skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and multi-task.
  • Ability to be flexible and responsive.
  • Dependable and responsible.
  • High School graduate or equivalent required.
  • English/Spanish bilingual required.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
