Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

This is a working management position.

This job requires you to work with customers on a daily basis through numerous channels including, but not limited to, working the teller line, opening accounts, answering incoming customer service calls and dealing with customer issues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Manage the day-to-day running of the branch including all Banker functions such as paying and receiving teller transactions, opening new accounts, working daily reports, completing any next day check back as needed, making referrals of BancFirst products and all other Customer Service Representative duties.

Manage the customer service level of the Customer Service Representatives, Teller Supervisor and Teller Audits.

Extraordinary customer service will be required of each employee at all times.

Brief employees on current sales goals, promotions and all other relevant information while working closely with the Retail Sales Coordinator.

Recognize employee achievements and encourage excellence in the work environment.

Evaluate employee performance and provide feedback and coaching as needed.

Responsible for coaching, counseling and disciplinary action of branch personnel.

Oversee and help manage employee’s overtime, time management and resolve issues as they arise while adhering to high ethical and professional standards.

Perform other job related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

3-5 years Retail/Branch Manager experience preferred

Ability to motivate staff and assist in maintaining goals

Must be proficient in opening new accounts, servicing accounts, and working in a Teller position as needed

Must be able to interact with other offices and departments for accurate resolutions to problems/errors, in addition to the timely completion of job tasks

Must be flexible and able to work additional hours when crucial to the branch environment

Customer and employee conflict management is critical

Knowledge of sales tools and presentation

Knowledge of daily bank operations, including security issues

Knowledge of federal, state, and bank policy, procedure and regulations 

Critical thinking, must work well under stress and deadlines

PREFERRED SKILLS

Bilingual (Spanish) a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Constant use of computer screens and reading of reports

Ability to operate a computer keyboard, multi-line telephone, photocopier, scanner and facsimile

Regularly required to sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk, see or hear

Intermittently standing, stooping, bending at the waist, walking, kneeling or crouching to file materials

Ability to lift and/or move and carry 10-25 pounds (cash canisters, coin boxes/bags)
