Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.

+ Knowledge of applied television broadcast operations and/or video production (i.e. camera operation, setup, fiber care, audio/visual connectivity)

+ Knowledge of video and broadcast level equipment

+ Organized; demonstrate equipment quality assurance, care

+ Ability to perform detailed work and meet required deadlines

+ Ability to work evenings, both days of the weekend and extended hours.

+ Demonstrate effective communication skills in working with internal and external constituents


Preferred Qualifications

+ Bachelors’ degree with additional consideration to applicants who possess a Masters degree.

+ One year experience with broadcast engineering


Job Description
Texas State University is seeking applications for the position of Broadcast Engineer for the Texas State Athletics Department.

Job Duties

+ Coordinate various aspects of broadcast operations primarily focusing on engineering, logistics and utility operations for the department’s live sports broadcasting on ESPN television and in-venue display broadcasts

+ Coordinate pre and post operations including setup and breakdown of all broadcast equipment for live sport and special events, maintaining proper operation of all video and audio equipment; inventory and access all broadcast equipment needs; address repair needs; troubleshoot equipment; other duties as assigned
