The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies.

Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes.

IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

**Role Purpose**

Corning IT is seeking a highly skilled and business-oriented SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) Solution Architect to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and implementing SAP BTP solutions, with a focus on SAP business process optimization, RPA (Robotic Process Automation), and Analytics services.

This role requires a deep understanding of how SAP BTP can drive business value, streamline operations, and enable data-driven decision-making.

The Solution Architect will translate business and service line requirements into practical IT service architectures that meet business partner needs and are fully aligned with enterprise architecture guidelines.

The BTP Solution Architect will work with Enterprise Platform Leads (EPL), Platform Delivery Leads (PDL) and SAP S4 Solution Architects to define a business and application multi-year BTP technology and capability roadmap.

At a high level, the Solutions Architect’s focus will be

+ Long-term technology planning: 10 -15%
+ Technology Effectiveness confirmation and execution 70 – 80%
+ Enterprise level Leadership and Influence: 10- 15%

**Key Responsibilities**

+ Partner with IT and business stakeholders across the enterprise to provide input into the development and execution of ERP Transformation strategy.
+ Collaborate with EPL, PDL and business stakeholders to understand their needs to determine whether BTP is the preferred solution.

Then translate them into technical solutions leveraging SAP BTP, RPA, and Analytics services.
+ Design and architect end-to-end SAP BTP solutions that align with business objectives and requirements.
+ Provide directionally accurate cost estimates for use in business case development.
+ Lead the implementation of RPA solutions to automate business processes and improve operational efficiency.
+ Develop and integrate analytics solutions using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or other SAP BTP analytics tools to provide actionable insights.
+ Provide expertise in SAP BTP services such as SAP Integration Suite, SAP Extension Suite, and SAP HANA Cloud
+ Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering strategic guidance on how SAP BTP can enhance their business processes.
+ Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and compliant with industry standards.
+ Conduct workshops, training sessions, and knowledge transfer to internal teams and clients.
+ Stay updated on the latest SAP BTP innovations, RPA trends, and analytics technologies to drive continuous improvement.
+ Troubleshooting: investigate, analyze, and solve problems
+ Handle changes or emergency fixes as needed for high priority issues.

**Experiences/Education - Required**

+ Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, or management information systems, or a related field.
+ Proven experience deploying or implementing projects as an SAP Solution Architect, with a focus on SAP BTP.
+ 10 years of IT or equivalent business/industry work experience in a relevant subject area
+ Strong technical background in SAP ABAP development
+ Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to align technical solutions with business goals.
+ Hands-on experience with RPA tools with SAP BTP.
+ Expertise in SAP Analytics services, including SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and embedded analytics.
+ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

**Experiences/Education - Desired**

+ SAP BTP certification or relevant SAP certifications are a plus.
+ Knowledge of SAP Integration Suite, SAP Extension Suite, and SAP HANA Cloud.
+ Experience in Agile or DevOps methodologies.
+ Familiarity with AI/ML capabilities within SAP BTP.
+ Significant experience in achieving positive results among staff at all levels of the organization through demonstrated ability in developing consultative relationships.
+ Demonstrated success working collaboratively with individuals and teams across the company, specifically executives and key stakeholders, utilizing influence, persuasion, leadership, negotiation, and group facilitation skills.
+ Demonstrated ability to grasp big picture with ability to transfer business requirements to solution design.
+ Strongly Self-motivated and guided.
+ Strategic agility and managing ambiguous conditions.
+ Demonstrate passion for success to complete required tasks while maintaining a positive attitude.
+ Extensive knowledge of general ERP concepts, trends and industry best practices.

The range for this position is $123,662.00 - $170,036.00 assuming full time status.

Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.

The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
