We are seeking a results-oriented, customer-focused Building Automation Intern to contribute to our continued legacy of innovation.

**ABOUT THIS ROLE:**

Design, documentation, and sales support of building automation systems (BASs) in compliance with project plans and specifications.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Design of complete building automation systems including the specification and sizing of controllers, electromechanical devices, sensors, networks, and computer hardware.
+ Documentation of the BAS design (i.e. submittals) and revision control of the resultant documents.
+ Final documentation of the building automation system that incorporates all changes made since issuance of the submittal.
+ Adherence to project requirements and company and customer standards in all aspects of design, programming, and implementation.
+ Technical support during the selling process to ensure that sales representatives accurately address customer requirements and propose the best possible solutions.
+ Identification and communication of project opportunities and risks related to cost, time, and technical considerations.
+ Adherence to safety standards.

+ Adherence to ethics standards.

Exemplifies the Carrier code of ethics.
+ Other duties as assigned.

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:**

+ Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Building Automation, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Science
+ 3.0 or higher GPA
+ Must be a US Citizen or able to work in the US without sponsorship
+ Possess and maintain valid and current Driver’s License and be insurable by our company’s insurance carrier
+ Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment in excess of 8 feet above grade, and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:**

+ Basic understanding of control logic
+ Knowledge in DDC control theory and applications pertaining to the HVAC/Control preferred
+ Prior experience in HVAC and/or Building Automation preferred
