Building Engineer Job Summary: The Building Engineer 1 performs building operations, customer service, and community enhancement.
We’re looking for someone who will complete or assist with tasks related to electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, heating, and other trades within a
commercial building.
Daily duties will include working with the property management team to perform preventive maintenance, respond to service tickets, and provide a safe environment for building tenants and visitors.

PRIMARY BUILDING ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform building and systems inspections, making necessary modifications to building systems
- Complete Preventive and Corrective Maintenance requests professionally
- Work with vendors to complete contracted work orders to meet expectations
- Maintain records, reports, and evaluations, and provide recommendations regarding necessary building maintenance operations
- Identify and help to order parts, materials, equipment, and supplies that are needed
- Manage Building Management System (BMS) / Energy Management System (EMS) as directed by Lead/Chief Engineer
- Maintain a clean engineering shop, mechanical plant, mechanical rooms, and general appearance
- Follow all safety rules and regulations
- Perform related work as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 - 5 years maintaining equipment and systems in commercial buildings
- Possess demonstrated high-level mechanical skills and abilities with HVAC equipment
- High-level experience and skills in operating, troubleshooting, maintaining, installing, and repairing equipment
- Basic technology skills necessary to manage work order applications on mobile phone and learn to operate Building Automation Systems
- High School diploma or equivalent, and must be able to communicate effectively in English
- Occasionally work overtime to perform necessary repairs or maintenance that are necessary to complete during off-hours
- Must meet the occupation requirements, such as lifting 50 lbs., walking distances, kneeling for 1 hour, and climbing ladders.
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check
- Must possess a CFC Universal certification
