Overview
Reporting to the Chief Engineer, the candidate will work to complete preventative maintenance, work orders and inspections as required.
We are looking for candidate who is dependable, experienced and can work independently in a fast-paced environment on complex systems to complete the tasks given in a timely fashion.
The base hourly rate is aligned with market data and is estimated between $23.00 to $28.00 with the ability to achieve additional compensation through bonus.
This hourly range reflects base compensation for the position across all US locations.
Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and other factors including relevant education/training, experience, and internal equity.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Perform light building repairs – carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, ceramic tilePerform daily inspections of mechanical rooms, bus/train exhaust fans, etc.Working knowledge of heat – gas fired boilers, electrical baseboards, air handlersHVAC – working knowledge of centrifugal chillers, chiller towers, fans, computer controlsSnow removal – operate plow truck, sander, skid steer, shovelingRespond to tenant requests and needs and coordinates with Property Management Team
to assist in resolving issuesMonitor vendor performance to ensure compliance and standards established in the serviceagreement are being metResponsible for facilitating maintenance with vendors and construction crewsDocument repairs on work ordersMaintain accurate and pertinent information as requiredEstablish and maintain positive relationships with internal tenants, vendors, and
construction workersBe on call as directed by Chief Engineer: rotating schedule one week per month for night
and weekend coverageOpen and respond to company emailsAttend meetings as directed Qualifications
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in commercial building maintenanceMassachusetts driver’s license and clean driving recordMust have own hand toolsAble to lift up to 50 poundsMust have reliable transportationHigh School diploma or equivalent requiredAbility to express ideas clearly in written and verbal communicationsStrong organizational skills and detail orientedProven record of providing excellent internal and external customer serviceSelf-motivated, proactive, organized, ability to work independently and as a teamAbility to pass background check and drug test Workplace Type
