 Building Materials Lumber Trader – Remote

Known for its stability, integrity, and long-term partnerships, the company sources and distributes products across 20+ countries.

As the company diversifies following recent market shifts, it is seeking experienced Traders to drive growth in specialty building products and develop new verticals.

Position: Lumber / Building Materials Trader



  • Location: Fully Remote (Hybrid optional near company offices)


  • Type: Full-Time, 100% Commission (Draw options available)


  • Travel: Optional international supplier visits and trade events


  • Openings: 5+ (growth positions, not replacements)


What You’ll Do



  • Trade, source, and sell a wide range of specialty building materials, including:



    • Millwork (doors, moldings, trim)


    • Engineered wood products (LVL, PSL, etc.)


    • Specialty lumber and panel products


    • Interior and exterior finish materials


    • Other niche categories (roofing, decking, architectural products) based on your expertise



  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, contractors, retailers, and manufacturers


  • Negotiate pricing, secure orders, and oversee logistics (imports, customs, shipping coordination)


  • Identify and develop new product verticals to expand the company’s market presence


  • Operate independently while representing the company’s values of honesty and professionalism


  • Leverage your network to bring new customers and revenue streams


Who We’re Looking For



  • Experienced Traders or Sales Professionals in building materials or closely related industries (lumber, millwork, paneling, specialty products)


  • Established customer base or strong supplier network preferred


  • Entrepreneurial and independent — thrives in a remote, self-managed environment


  • Strong reputation within the building materials supply chain


  • Familiarity with global sourcing and importing, including supplier negotiations and logistics management


  • Sales or business development track record in expanding product lines or territories
