Job Summary/Company: Are you a proactive, entrepreneurial self-starter with a passion for the building relationships?
Sparks Group has partnered with an architecture firm seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join their practice.
You'll be a key driver of strategic growth and use your deep industry knowledge to proactively identify new opportunities, build and strengthen relationships, and expand our presence in target markets like multifamily residential, hospitality, and higher education.

What You’ll Do
Lead Strategic Growth: Collaborate with leadership to define and execute annual business development strategies.
You’ll conduct market research, analyze competitors, and identify new growth opportunities and geographic markets.
Cultivate Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, developers, brokers, and industry influencers.
You'll serve as our firm's ambassador at conferences and events, leveraging your network to gain early insights into upcoming opportunities.
Manage the Pursuit Process: Lead the entire pursuit process, from go/no-go decisions to proposal development.
You'll work with the marketing team to create compelling materials, ensuring our responses are tailored and reflect our value.
You’ll also manage our CRM to track leads and measure progress.
Drive Internal Collaboration: Work closely with our design and marketing teams to understand our capabilities and accurately position the firm for new projects.
Experience: 5–10 years of business development, marketing, or client engagement experience within the AEC industry or a related field.
Industry Knowledge: A deep understanding of the architecture and interior design project lifecycle and services.
Proven Track Record: A demonstrated ability to build trust and rapport with clients and a history of successfully securing new work.
Communication Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
Technical Skills: Experience with CRM software (like Ajera or Cosential).
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
