  • The HT Group is seeking a driven and experienced Business Development Representative to join the team of a fast-growing life sciences company based in North Austin.

    In this role, the Business Development Representative will be responsible for generating new B2B business opportunities, developing long-term client relationships, and building out a personal book of business with residual growth potential.

    The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in outside business development within a scientific, technical, or life sciences company, along with a proven track record of consistently securing new business and exceeding sales targets.

    This is an exciting opportunity for a money-motivated, self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, independent work environment and is passionate about relationship building and client success.

    This is a Direct Hire opportunity and will be fully onsite.

    Key Qualifications: 
    – 3-8 years of outside business development/sales experience in a scientific, technical, or life sciences industry 
    – Demonstrated success in winning new business and driving revenue growth
    – Bachelor’s degree in a life science, environmental science, business, or a related field 
    – Strong skills in relationship building, networking, and account management
    – Experience with microbiology, or environmental monitoring highly preferred
    – Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites & Salesforce 

    Key Responsibilities:
    – Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new opportunities for services and products, and competitor activity 
    – Manage entire B2B sales cycle from initial contract to closing the deal
    – Work fluidly with internal, cross-functional teams 
    – Track sales activity, meet weekly/monthly/quarterly KPI’s 
    – Identify and prospect potential clients nationwide
    – Attend tradeshows to network
