**Description**
We maintain a large and complex code base, and we need a troubleshooter who is fearless to dive in and solve challenging problems as they arise.
We transport and process large volumes of data on tight timelines, and we need a system architect who understands memory management and is able to analyze and optimize for performance concerns.
And, as we bring up new camera features every year, we need a software engineer who can balance delivering on schedule while focusing on the quality and maintainability of our code base.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
+ Proficiency in Objective-C or C/C++.
+ Development and debug experience on realtime embedded mobile platforms.
+ Memory management and multithreaded software development experience.
+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
+ Curiosity and passion to solve everyday problems in innovative ways.
+ Focus on details that are meaningful to customers.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
+ Comfort with Unix/Linux/Darwin.
+ Implementation of computer graphics or image processing applications.
+ Familiarity with A/V compression/decompression and media formats.
+ Ownership of API design and maintenance.
+ Experience with realtime media frameworks.
+ Interest and fundamental understanding of photography/videography.
**Pay & Benefits**
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.
This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
