Cardiology Monitor Tech – Specialty Electrophysiology 


Cardiac Study Center/ Pulse Heart Institute, Auburn, WA


Since its creation, Cardiac Study Center (CSC) has contracted with Pulse Heart Institute (Pulse) for outpatient cardiology and billing services.

CSC is a proud partner of Pulse and has provided outpatient cardiology services in the Puget Sound Region for over 50 years.

CSC partnered with MultiCare Health System to create Pulse Heart Institute in 2016 to work toward improving the health of cardiac patients.


Pulse's standard operating procedure is to employ cardiology ambulatory and billing support staff at Cardiac Study Center.

This gives Pulse the dexterity to create roles that are unique to cardiac programs, which benefit our teams in their career development and resource needs in caring for our patients.

This structure allows for a more personal feel for our employees, helping them feel valued.

Cardiology Monitor Tech Environment and Shift details:


This role is full-time, 40 hours/ week, 8-hour Monday – Friday—closed weekends and holidays.


Location: 202 N Division St Suite 201, Plaza 2, Auburn, WA 98001


 


Cardiology Monitor Tech Required Qualifications:




We seek an individual with experience in device technology, monitor/telemetry, or Holter scanning, with a strong foundation in ECG interpretation.

The ideal candidate possesses robust cardiac rhythm recognition abilities and superior written and verbal communication skills.

Essential skills include proficiency in Holter/event monitor scanning, data analysis, editing, and report preparation for cardiologist review.


Requirements:



  • High School Diploma or GED, with at least six months of relevant experience or training.

  • Must demonstrate basic and advanced ECG recognition skills. Prior device tech, monitor, or telemetry tech training is necessary.

  • Certification as a Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) is required within two years of hire, plus current CPR/BLS certification.




Cardiology Monitor Tech Position Summary




As a Monitor Technician in the Heart Rhythm/Device Department, you'll work closely with the team lead and manager to ensure efficient patient flow for holter and event monitoring services.

Your role includes technical and administrative support, performing ECGs, and holter/event monitor setups as required.

Critical to this position is the ability to identify cardiac dysrhythmias, conduct monitor scanning, editing, and report preparation for provider review, contributing significantly to patient care and clinic operations.

Cardiology Monitor Tech Responsibilities



  • Operating as a monitor technician, under supervision, for device monitoring tasks.

  • Hooking up patients to Holter/Event Monitors and instructing on their use.

  • Monitoring alerts from various cardiac monitors and notifying medical staff of abnormalities.

  • Scanning and reviewing monitor downloads for irregularities and creating reports for providers.

  • Documenting all patient interactions and relevant data in the EMR system.

  • Assisting with the billing process for monitoring services.

  • Managing monitor equipment inventory, maintenance, and staff training on device usage.

  • Supporting various clinic locations as needed and participating in educational programs.

Pay and Benefit Expectations


Cardiac Study Center/ Pulse Heart Institute provides a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental, and retirement benefits, and paid time off.

As various pay transparency laws require, CSC/ PHI shares a competitive compensation range for candidates hired into each position.


The starting pay for this position is $28.06, and the pay scale is $28.06- $38.82 USD.
