Urgent! Carpenter (OCONUS) Job Opening In Arlington – Now Hiring Amentum
Amentum is seeking a Carpenter for multiple OCONUS locations contingent upon award.
The Carpenter is responsible for performing skilled carpentry work, including the construction, installation, and repair of structures and fixtures.
**Essential Responsibilities**
+ Execute carpentry tasks such as repairs, installation of floor and ceiling tiles, walls, masonry work, locksmithing, and cabinet making.
+ Operate small power tools and machinery as required.
+ Read blueprints and perform material take-offs from prints.
+ Provide leadership and communicate effectively with customers and subordinates.
**Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required**
+ High school graduate or GED equivalent.
+ Completion of a recognized apprenticeship or vocational program for a journeyman carpenter with eight (8) years of experience.
+ Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs.
+ Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
+ Willingness to work rotational shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
+ Required clearances are site-driven.
Must possess a SECRET security clearance at the start of the contract and obtain the appropriate clearance within eight (8) months of contract award.
**Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands**
Carpenters work in various environments, handling physical tasks such as lifting and using tools.
Mental demands include problem-solving, attention to detail, and effective communication and leadership.
Other Responsibilities:

As appropriate, each employee is responsible for completing all training requirements and fulfilling all self-aid/buddy aid responsibilities, participating in emergency response tasks and serving on safety committees and teams.
