Job Title: Casing/Crating Transformer Assembler I
nd shift: Monday - Friday pm-:pm CST, some Saturdays
Description:
Job Summary:
Responsible for performing the final assembly operations of electricity transformers according to prescribed standard methods and procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
• Perform tasks across various work centers, including Tank-up, casing, small parts, vacuum chamber, cover bander, palletizing, and final assembly.
• Attach and install critical component parts and sub-assemblies to transformer tanks (, leads, bushings, brackets, fuses, switches, nameplates, arrestors, labels, stencils, bands, etc.).
• Anchor core/coil assemblies into tanks, ensuring precision and quality.
• Execute various hand assembly, fitting, and adjusting operations with meticulous attention to detail.
• Retrieve, assemble, and securely attach covers, maintaining consistent standards.
• Conduct temperature checks, install and inspect components, initiate and troubleshoot leak checks, repair leaking units, and perform fluid checks to ensure proper oil use.
• Load, operate, and unload the vacuum system efficiently.
• Use small power hand tools as required, demonstrating proficiency and safety awareness.
• Follow written communications, including operating instructions (VOP), BOM lists, production schedules, and WSRA.
• Expertly rework nonconforming parts and products to meet quality standards.
• Safely operates overhead cranes and hoisting equipment to move materials, components, and finished products within the manufacturing facility.
• Actively participates in problem-solving processes, contributing to efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement within the organization.
• Achieves and maintains target production rates or output levels, ensuring efficient operations and meeting organizational goals.
• Adhere to safety protocols, ensures efficient material handling, housekeeping practices (S+), and company policies and procedures.
• Perform other manufacturing duties as assigned.
