Job Summary: 

We are looking for an experienced Casino Host to join our team at Miccosukee Casino & Resort.

Miccosukee Casino & Resort is expanding, with completed projects including a new Smoking Room & Bar, a High Limit Slots area, and a VIP Lounge, all designed to enhance the guest experience.

Future plans include a lazy river and water park, an over 2,000 capacity entertainment venue, and renovated hotel rooms to become a top South Florida destination.

Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate in English, Spanish is a plus.
  • Must have a High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Tribal Gaming License.
  • Must have 1 years of Casino/Gaming experience.
  • Must be a proven self-starter, flexible, versatile, and responsible.
  • Must be able to work all schedules, all days, and all shifts.

    Complete flexibility is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Exceptional guest service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and friendly, outgoing personality required.
  • Must have professional phone etiquette and be comfortable with telemarketing.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests, team members and management.
  • Math skills and ability to understand play worth and value.
  • Must be able to frequently move freely about the property, maintain manual dexterity to operate job related equipment, such as telephones, copiers, etc., withstand various activities such as frequent walking, sitting for long periods and withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending and kneeling without restriction.
  • Be able to work indoors and be exposed to various environmental contaminants including smoke.
  • Ability to lift or carry a minimum of 20 pounds unassisted in the performance of specific tasks assigned.
  • Must be able to work with others, communicate well, receive direction, and provide feedback when needed to achieve department goals and objectives.
  • Must maintain a positive attitude toward work and interface with guests in a congenial and polite manner.
  • Must be able to address stressful situations with clients with dignity and the utmost tact and politeness
  • Must be able to touch and handle supplies in a safe and non-hazardous manner, maintaining proper hygiene, cleanliness, and disposal methods.
  • Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times and to observe the Company’s standards, work requirements and rules of conduct.
  • Responsibilities

    The primary responsibility of the Casino Hostis to effectively market, evaluate, recruit, establish, and maintain professional relationships with new players.

    Casino Hosts develop and maintain superior relationships with guests by equal use of professionalism and personality.

    They track and monitor guest feedback and participation on an on-going basis to determine program effectiveness.

    They prepare, coordinate, host, and administer all complimentary and guest events.

    Duties and responsibilities may change to meet the business needs of the company.

  • Adhere to the Miccosukee Service Expectations and ensure team compliance.
  • Leverage experience in the gaming industry to bring in, maintain, and cultivate new players to the property, using marketing tools, such as outside acquisition campaigns and resort amenities.
  • Report to the Player Development Manager with focus on increasing the quantity and caliber of high value players to the property.
  • Use computer database to identify target players.
  • Correspond with players in person, by telephone and direct mail to market promotions, property events and special occasions.
  • Will have the ability to use their telephone on the gaming floor to increase revenue and will have the ability to spend time speaking with guests on the floor to develop closer relationships.
  • Maintain strong presence on the casino floor to identify registered and prospective players.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze database for opportunities and productivity.
  • Approve and monitor comp issuance based on player performance.
  • Attend player events, interact with invited players, and provide guest service in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Meet goals and objectives for daily phone calls and letters mailed to current, inactive, and prospective high-end players.
  • Meet goals and objectives for monthly property revenue and player development.
  • Work with internal customers to ensure a successful and productive work environment and completion of work projects.
  • Assist in planning and hosting Special Events (on and off property), dinners, tournaments, promotions, and any event attributing to the success of the department and company.
  • Use contacts to generate new business.
  • Must have professional phone etiquette and be comfortable with telemarketing.
  • Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • The Casino & Resort will function seven days a week, 24 hours a day.

    We may find it necessary to re-schedule shifts according to our business volume.

    You must be willing and available to fulfill these demands

    While performing the duties of this job, the team member will be regularly required to walk, stand and sit.

    The associate will occasionally be required to climb and use balance.

    Additionally, the team member will frequently be asked to use hands and arms carry and lift items.

    Specific vision abilities required to perform this job include close vision and distance vision.
     
    While performing the duties of this job, the team member may experience temperature fluctuations and moderate to high levels of noise.
