Job Summary
The primary responsibility of the Instructional Designer is to provide learning solutions to Company employees across multifunctional job skills.

This role involves working closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders to design, develop, and implement instructional content.
Essential Functions Collaborate with subject matter experts to conduct job/task analysis, write terminal and enabling objectives, determine target audience needs, and identify performance goals.
Analyze, develop, design, and evaluate curriculum and associated training materials and methods including classroom, OJT, and e-learning to determine which will meet the needs of a multigenerational workforce with various levels of experience and expertise.
Develop training consistent with instructional design standards, adult learning theory, and knowledge of the targeted audience.
Develop, validate, and evaluate testing and evaluation instruments.
Ensure that all training meets regulatory and safety compliance requirements.
Develop a working knowledge of the business, a thorough understanding of learning resources, and impact on users for designing College of Professional Development LMS pages.
Measure the impact of training against predetermined client requirements and modify approach as appropriate.
Work with supervision to define and manage project timelines, resources, deliverables and competing priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
Clearly communicate the impacts and benefits of changes to our systems and/or courses to stakeholders.
Perform other assigned duties commensurate with skill level.
Education A bachelor’s degree in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, Education, Business, or related field.
Experience Two to four (2-4) years of experience in instructional design related work.
Competencies Able to demonstrate competency in instructional design, needs assessment, performance measurement and evaluation, project management, team, and consulting skills.
Able to work independently and collaboratively with others with integrity, enthusiasm, active listening, and empathy.
Able to demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement of services.
Able to apply knowledge of fundamental adult learning theories and employee development principles.
Able to think creatively to drive, track and manage learning content.
Able to organize relevant and up to date learning resources that are easily accessible by learners.
Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and listen actively with all levels of company employees, vendors, and consultants.
Able to perform tasks and solve problems under supervision to work effectively with all levels.
Able to motivate self to accomplish projects and achieve goals with guidance, including self-directed learning.
Able to maintain positive and professional working relationships.
Able to demonstrate willingness to learn continuously, understand business philosophy and apply knowledge to create effective solutions and tools.
Able to treat confidential information in a discrete and appropriate manner.
Able to use personal computer software proficiently, such as word processing, presentation, spreadsheet, database managers, electronic mail, and web conferencing tools.
Able to provide a valid state driver's license, present and maintain a safe driving record and to operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
Able to demonstrate commitment to compliance with applicable laws and regulations, the Company’s Ethics and Compliance Code of Conduct, and other Company policies and procedures and do so consistently, take all required training courses and do so timely.
Able to demonstrate respect for all individuals, adhere to the Company’s values and business practices and do both consistently.
