Geo-Technology Associates, Inc.

(GTA) is currently seeking a Class A CDL Lowboy Driver to join our team in Laurel, Maryland.

Applicants must have experience operating heavy equipment such as skid steers and backhoes and driving tractor trailers and rollbacks.

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Drive industrial rollbacks and tractor trailers
  • Must be able to operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company’s operating safety policies and procedures
  • Conducts routine equipment inspections and performs preventative maintenance on equipment; maintains accurate records
  • Reports any maintenance needs or equipment malfunction to appropriate supervisor and maintenance personnel
  • Follows appropriate standard operating procedures as guideline for operating and maintaining vehicle
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
  • Typical Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed outdoors
  • This is a physically strenuous and demanding job.

    Individual will be lifting, pulling, and managing heavy equipment and objects
  • The Class A CDL Lowboy Driver must work in all weather and must be prepared for both extreme heat and cold
  • The Class A CDL Lowboy Driver must ensure that all activities are completed in a safe and efficient way
  • Minor maintenance of machinery (checking all fluids, greasing all fittings, changing filters, and fueling at the end of the workday)
  • Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Good driving record
  • Valid Class A CDL in good standing
  • Reliable vehicle
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience operating heavy equipment in a construction environment
  • Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety requirements and procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
