This role sits within our Clinical Informatics team.
The Clinical Informatics team has a deep appreciation of the information flow without our Data and Digital information system landscape.
They have a deep understanding of how everything connects within our ecosystem and are the champions for our provider and whānau needs.
They're the experts who know what works best for smooth clinical function and workflow! This team is all about making things better for everyone – clinicians, patients, and whānau.
But it's not just about them – they will do this mahi by having and building connections, networks and partnerships! They work closely internally within Data & Digital as well as externally with other directorates, and within various product advisory and clinical oversight groups to make sure decisions are consistent, as well as actively contributing to the working groups with whānau, clinicians and specialists from all over the Health Sector to create a digital world that covers Te Aka Whai Ora, Community, Primary, and Secondary care and all other modes of health care delivery.
Our Clinical Informatics team are also the go-to people for advice and guidance on all things Data and Digital.
From new technology to keeping everything in check, they are the ones who work in the teams that allow things to run smoothly.
They form part of the bridge between providers, whānau and pure data and digital technical skills by making sure everyone understands what is possible with digital end ensure we have security built in from the ground up and we ensure the data in context provides the information where it is needed.
As you can see, there will be a lot of working alongside Service Improvement and Innovation, as well as our healthcare delivery arms to ensure we optimise what we have but also take that leap to the new where it's safe and important to do so.
They are there when it's just an idea, all the way to when it's ready to scale up, and making sure they have a gentle eye over delivery and then the ongoing improvement, lending their clinical expertise to make sure everything is moving in the right direction.
Mōu | About you
As the Clinical Informatics Lead, reporting directly to the Clinical Informatics Director Quality, Governance and Safety, you will play a pivotal role in providing operational capability and direction ensuring digital clinical governance is set up and works productively, actively participating in various working groups and reporting to relevant committees.
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the seamless functionality of our clinical informatics solutions, with a clear focus on preventing rework, minimizing errors, and managing risk.
All while ensuring these solutions remain adaptable and responsive to evolving demands.
Collaboration is key in this role, as you'll work closely with a network of clinical informatics analysts and specialists around engagement providing target operating models, with a focus on the service improvement component working in conjunction with the Service improvement and innovation directorate.
