Job Description

Our client is seeking a Cloud Network Engineer / Security Analyst to support the modernization of their end client's Client Management System.

This role combines cloud networking expertise with security analysis to ensure the design, implementation, and monitoring of secure, scalable, and high-performing infrastructure.

The position involves working across modernization phases, maintaining legacy system interoperability while deploying new cloud-based capabilities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and maintain cloud-based network infrastructure within Microsoft Azure.

  • Ensure secure interconnections between legacy and modernized systems during phased migration.

  • Monitor and analyze network traffic, vulnerabilities, and threats to safeguard critical applications and data.

  • Implement and maintain security controls, firewalls, VPNs, and access management in hybrid and cloud environments.

  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and project managers to integrate security best practices into the system lifecycle.

  • Support compliance efforts by aligning with federal security standards and governance frameworks.

  • Troubleshoot and optimize network and security performance to ensure scalability, availability, and cost efficiency.

  • Provide documentation, reporting, and knowledge transfer to technical and non-technical stakeholders.



Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years professional experience as a Cloud Engineer / Network Engineer.
  • Minimum 3 years professional experience as a Cloud Security or Network Security Analyst.
Technical Skills:
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure networking and security services.
  • Proficiency with firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and monitoring tools.
  • Experience with security governance, compliance frameworks, and risk management.
  • Familiarity with cloud automation and DevOps tools a plus.
Certifications: Microsoft Azure certifications preferred (e.g., Azure Network Engineer Associate, Azure Security Engineer Associate).

· Paid time off will initially be accrued at a rate of 6.33 hours per semi-monthly pay period, for a total of 19 days/152 hours annually for the first two years.

Requirements
