Ripple Effect Consulting is seeking a CMT Branch Manager on behalf of a reputable engineering firm in the region.
This position is ideal for a licensed professional with a strong foundation in materials testing and an interest in leading both field operations and division-level initiatives.
Your Role: Leadership Focused, Client Centered, and Technically Driven
In this role, you will support and lead field and laboratory operations for geotechnical and construction materials testing projects.
You will play a key role in maintaining quality standards, guiding technicians, and ensuring smooth project execution from start to finish.
What You Will Do:
Review geotechnical reports, project plans, and specifications to set up materials testing projects
Client out test details for technicians and oversee technician scheduling and coordination
Provide leadership and mentorship to field staff with a focus on quality and safety
Review raw field data and assist in preparing and finalizing reports
Oversee laboratory certifications including CCRL concrete AMRL soils and Corps of Engineers standards
Manage the nuclear density gauge program including licensing leak testing calibration and maintenance
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients contractors and suppliers
Support marketing efforts and contribute to project budgeting and estimating
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of testing services
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field
Professional Engineer PE license
Strong understanding of materials science construction processes and testing standards including ASTM and AASHTO
Familiarity with DOT procedures and IBC special inspections
Excellent analytical problem solving and communication skills
Comfortable working in field conditions and lifting up to 50 pounds when needed
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction materials testing geotechnical services or special inspections
