Why You Matter: As a CNC Machine Operator of the Decimal team, you will contribute to creating quality fabricated machine parts every day.
This work plays a critical role in supplying the components used by Lantech's assembly departments to construct Lantech's stretch wrapping machinery, which is used around the world to move essential goods securely and efficiently.
Here's a Glimpse at What you'll Do: As a CNC Machine Operator at Lantech you will: Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to produce quality parts according to specifications.
Perform CNC setup and part inspection.
Responsible for editing CNC programs as needed to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Read digital/dial calipers and micrometers.
Communicate with other areas in regard to parts and materials.
Read blueprints and follow standard work to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are met.
Stand 9-10 hours per day.
What are We Looking For?
(Requirements) We are looking for someone who: Experience operating CNC mills, lathes, or related CNC/ Manual equipment.
Ability to perform machine setup, including tooling, fixtures, and offsets.
Strong blueprint reading and technical drawing interpretation.
Skilled with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
Ability to edit CNC programs to maintain the quality and accuracy of parts.
Detail-oriented and able to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
Strong teamwork and communication skills with commitment to safety and quality Is able to understand metrics and standards.
Is capable of lifting loads up to 50 lbs.
Is able to complete basic mathematical operations.
Has basic computer skills (including Microsoft Outlook).
Is legally authorized to work in the U.S. Education & Experience: A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Additional training from vocational or trade school is a plus.
Desired Skills: Multi-machine CNC experience (mills, lathes, routers, etc.).
Familiarity with G-code and CNC program optimization.
Exposure to or experience in a sheet metal fabrication environment.
Forklift operation experience (preferred, not required).
Lean knowledge and continuous improvement mindset.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
