CNC Operator 2nd. and 3rd. shift available Job Opening In Lancaster – Now Hiring Boyd

Job Description

SUMMARY

Operates CNC Machining Centers to produce parts to Customer Specifications.

Loads and Runs CNC programs.

De-Burrs parts and cleans as time allows.

Performs routine maintenance on Machining Centers, such as filling way oil.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Other duties may be assigned.

Use Band Saws and simple tools such as Hex Wrenches, Screw Drivers and Soft Hammers.

Changes Dull Tooling and adjusts Machine Offsets.

Checks Part Dimensions using Micrometers, Gage Pins Vernier Calipers, Drop Indicators, Comparators, Thread Gages and Various other Precision Tools.

Records these Measurements as necessary on the Part Traveler.

De-Burrs Parts to Customer Specifications and cleans the parts as necessary.

Maintains a Clean Work Environment.

Provide routine Maintenance on CNC Machining Centers.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED.

Trade School or Apprenticeship Program preferred or a minimum of 2 years experience as a Machine Operator.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to communicate effectively to co-workers through Verbal and written communications as well as other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate Machine Offsets using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

A good understanding of Geometry and the ability to calculate angles.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems as well as Complex Fixturing problems.

Ability to apply common sense when using equipment and making decisions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.

The employee is occasionally required to sit, the ability to stand for extended periods is required.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and 70 pounds with assistance.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.

The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
