CNC Programmer Job Opening In Fairfield – Now Hiring Career Transitions

Fairfield, OH


Direct Hire – Full-Time


1st Shift


Compensation DOE: up to $110k/yr.


We’re seeking a skilled CNC Programmer on first shift to join our team in Fairfield, OH.

In this role, you’ll create precise CNC programs using CAD/CAM software, support machining operations, and occasionally perform setups and first-piece runoffs.

Mastercam experience is a must.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop CNC programs for milling and turning centers using Mastercam (required) or GibbCAM.

  • Create detailed setup sheets including tooling and work-holding specifications.

  • Interpret CAD models and engineering drawings to support program development.

  • Perform full machine setups and first-piece runoffs as needed.

  • Ensure tight tolerances (±.0001) and optimize machining processes.

  • Update programs and tooling strategies to improve performance and efficiency.

  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve performance.

  • Apply knowledge of cutting tools, inspection equipment, and work-holding strategies.

  • Communicate clearly with shop floor associates regarding application status and requirements.

  • Maintain organized and accurate documentation.

  • Adhere to company policies and safety standards.
  • Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing/engineering.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with CAD/CAM software.

  • Proficiency in CNC programming, setup, and operation.

  • Strong understanding of machine control codes and macro programming.

  • Familiarity with live tooling lathes and 4- or 5-axis milling machines.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of manufacturing methods and quality procedures.

  • Experience in product development and presenting technical information.
