**Job Title: Setup Machinist**

**Job Description**

We are seeking a skilled Setup Machinist with extensive experience in CNC machine setup and operation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and improve machining processes while ensuring high-quality output.

**Responsibilities**

+ Set up and operate CNC machines effectively.
+ Select, maintain, and utilize various cutting tools and fixtures.
+ Identify and resolve machining issues quickly, including mechanical and software problems.
+ Recognize signs of tool wear and adjust feed rates, speeds, and tool selections accordingly.
+ Diagnose and address tool breakage to minimize downtime.
+ Implement process improvements and efficiencies.

**Essential Skills**

+ Minimum 2 years of full-time operator experience on a CNC machining center.
+ Ability to perform your own offsets and tool changes.
+ Proficient in industrial math, reading drawings, and using gauges.
+ Capability to follow specific work instructions and maintain quality and output standards.
+ Experience with using surface grinders and manual machines.

**Work Environment**

Work in a smaller, climate-controlled shop that is well-lit.

While the environment may get a little dirty with carbon, it remains manageable and sometimes slippery.

The schedule is from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Monday to Friday, offering a structured workweek.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $66560.00/yr.

• Plant Shut Down at year end (everyone likes this)
• 401k company contribution (3% of earnings) paid every bi-weekly pay period even if the employee doesn’t defer their own money and is 100% vested immediately
• Annual performance bonus of up to 5% of annual salary based on metrics/goals and the results (payout of 4.9% to most production departments April 2025) Goes to ALL employees – except sales positions
• Annual profit share bonus from our HQ in Germany (Paid $2159 plus $54 per year of service to each employee in May 2024).

Must be employed two years as of May 31 to get this bonus (paid in May)
• Pension Plan – contributions made after 3 years of service to a pension fund for each employee (current payment is $1600 per year)
• Wage increases scheduled for every January 1 (plus pay progression plans depending on where they start within the pay range)
• Full medical, dental, vision plan (no employee premiums increases for 9 years straight, and we haven’t stepped on the benefit design either)
• Ancillary benefits paid 100% by company (STD, LTD and Life Insurance for the employee and every family member)
• 2 weeks PTO/yr (pro-rated in year of hire) and 3 weeks the first of the year following one year of employment (4 weeks after 4 years and 5 weeks after 9 years)
• Office/professional/technical or highly skilled employees may start at the 3 week level of PTO – prorated

**Workplace Type**

This is a fully onsite position in Menomonee Falls,WI.
