Shift Differential: 10% for 2nd shift
Pay Rate: $22.00/hour (W-2)

The Coating Operator is responsible for coating or laminating film materials prior to the converting process or for direct shipment to customers.
This role involves operating coating machinery, preparing raw materials, performing quality checks, and ensuring products are processed according to work orders, customer specifications, and safety standards.
Material Handling & Coating Operations
Apply silicone, non-silicone, or adhesive mixes to films based on work orders and customer specifications.
Load raw materials using a hand crank or hydraulic lift.
Add coating mixtures to machines by pumping from drums or by hand to maintain proper consistency.
Set up and monitor coating machines, including speed, temperature, airflows, threading, and tension.
Strike off sample products to verify coating quality and consistency.
Process & Documentation
Receive daily assignments, review process folders, work orders, and job specifications.
Record material usage and production information in the QAD (Queen Anne Drive) system.
Maintain Good Documentation Practices (GDP) for all coating activities.
Notify supervisor if specifications are unclear or missing.
Quality & Safety
Conduct basic quality inspections for scratches, coating defects, and film consistency.
Follow machine safety protocols and PPE requirements (gloves, safety shoes, dust masks, hearing protection, eye protection).
Assist in cleaning machines and preparing equipment for the next production run.
High School Diploma or GED required.
12–18 months of manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
Ability to read work instructions, job folders, and safety documentation.
Basic math skills (weights, volume, conversions, measurements).
Capable of lifting up to 70 lbs unassisted and up to 200 lbs with assistance.
Able to stand, walk, reach, and handle materials for extended periods.
Manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery, heat, fumes, and airborne dust.
Moderate to loud noise levels when equipment such as blowers is in operation.
Frequent standing, walking, reaching, handling materials; occasional stooping, kneeling, or climbing.
PPE is provided and required.
