**Job Description:**
As a Community Events Specialist, you will help support and organize local events that promote Intermountain Health in Nevada.
This role is a great opportunity to gain experience in community outreach, event planning, and marketing.
You’ll work closely with the team to:
Assist in setting up and running community events, including health fairs, local festivals, and educational sessions.
Help build positive relationships with community members, local organizations, and event partners.
Support the logistics of events, such as preparing materials, coordinating schedules, and helping with on-site tasks.
Track attendance and gather feedback to help improve future events.
Contribute ideas to help raise awareness of Intermountain Health and connect people to our services.
This person needs to have 2 years’ experience in healthcare or health insurance public relations
4 years experience in public relations, communications, event planning / executing, fundraising, health promotions, or marketing.
2 years professional writing experience with demonstrated strong project leadership skills, interpersonal and relationship-building skills, and problem-resolution skills.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, is organized, and wants to grow their skills in marketing, communications, or public relations.
Job Profile:
+ Lead the Intermountain Health grassroots team to develop, implement, and manage strategies to create greater brand awareness and generate leads to support new patient acquisition.
+ Responsible for coordinating outreach efforts with Community Relationship Manager to develop strategic partnerships with community groups to grow sponsorship opportunities and providers/caregiver involvement.
+ Serve as the lead community liaison brand spokesperson by participating in relevant community events to build collaborative relationships.
+ Coordinate the team of Intermountain volunteers to ensure knowledge of events, appropriate brand messaging and active participation at assigned events.
+ Develop post-event evaluation process to consider the audience quality and quantity of leads generated to determine future participation.
+ Track event inputs/outputs and share insights with internal team to drive strategic marketing campaign shifts and operational decisions.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Minimum Requirements**
**High school graduate, or equivalent.**
**Four years professional experience in public relations, communications, event planning / executing, fundraising, health promotions, or marketing.**
**Two years’ experience in healthcare or health insurance public relations**
**Two years professional writing experience with demonstrated strong project leadership skills, interpersonal and relationship-building skills, and problem-resolution skills.**
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in public relations, Communications, Health Promotion/Education, Marketing, or English.
Degree from an accredited institution.
+ Experience in a marketing and communications role within healthcare or health insurance industry.
+ Experience using multi-media presentation, graphics, and desktop publishing applications
