Job Type(s):Full-Time

Location(s):Bangor, Maine

Licenses/Certifications:MHRT/C or MHRT/C provisional and CRMA

Education:Secondary Education in a human service field is preferred

Experience:3 years experience with Associates Degree or 1 year experience with Bachelor's Degree

**Job Description**

The ACT Community Support Worker (CSW) provides supportive counseling, case management, outreach, skill teaching, family support, coordination/advocacy for services, education, and crisis support to persons with severe and prolonged mental illness.

The goal of these services is to assist individuals in obtaining the support, skills, and services necessary to improve their level of functioning within their communities and to decrease the need for hospitalization and/or incarceration.

The services are delivered in a variety of home, office, and community based settings, depending on the needs of the individual.

**CHCS believes in the importance of work-life balance, we offer generous leave time with paid sick & vacation time plus seven paid holidays and five paid float holiday time to our full-time staff and pro-rated time for part-time staff.**
