**Responsibilities:**
GENERAL PURPOSE:
The Outreach Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting various strategic initiatives for the Finger Lakes Children’s Environmental Health Center (FLCEHC).
This position focuses on raising awareness of environmental health issues, promoting healthy living practices, and fostering and sustaining connections amongst our rural communities through utilizing up-to-date media methodologies.
Through effective collaboration with other co-workers, this role will help deliver resources, create educational materials, and support events that contribute to healthier, more informed communities.
Time-as-reported (TAR) position, 5-10 hours/week.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
**Media Creation and Management** : Develop and manage social media content, including posts on Instagram and Facebook, infographics, and video stories to raise awareness of environmental health issues and lead poisoning prevention.
Assist with revising Healthy Homes guides and webinar promotions.
**Community Outreach and Engagement** : Collaborate with team members to create flyers, brochures, and other outreach materials for initiatives like the Nurse Family Partnership, Healthy Baby Network, and teen programs.
Plan, moderate and support teen meetings and follow up with participants.
**Event Support and Collaboration** : Assist in organizing and promoting events such as the Rural Lead Conference.
Contribute to presentations for outside conferences by enhancing slides and materials.
Contribute to other specialized projects and initiatives as requested by FLCEHC team.
**Other job duties as assigned.**
**QUALIFICATIONS**
+ High School education required.
+ Or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
+ Experience in creating and managing media content, including social media, infographics, and outreach materials, using tools like Canva or similar platforms required.
+ Background in community outreach, event coordination, and collaboration with diverse groups required.
+ Works effectively with others and to accept responsibility for confidential and sensitive matters required.
