**Description**
Join Apple's All-Scale Modeling (ASM) team where computational physics directly shapes the future of technologies in Apple products.

Your algorithms and models will influence hardware innovations that touch millions of lives daily.

We are looking for a Computational Physicist who thrives on transforming complex physical phenomena into elegant computational solutions that drive real product decisions.

**Minimum Qualifications**

+ Bachelor's degree in Applied Physics, Chemistry, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
+ Deep expertise in physics modeling and numerical methods, with proven ability to implement them in production environments.
+ Proficiency in Python for rapid prototyping, C++/CUDA/Metal programming for high-performance systems and optimization.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Master’s or PhD degree in Applied Physics, Chemistry, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
+ 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
+ Demonstrated track record of systematically debugging complex computational issues and developing innovative algorithmic solutions.
+ Hands-on experience building and validating computational simulation frameworks that guide critical engineering decisions.
+ Passion for pushing computational boundaries and creating elegant solutions to complex physics problems.
+ Proficiency in uncertainty quantification, sensitivity analysis, and statistical methods for validating computational models against experimental data.
+ Strong collaboration skills with the ability to translate complex computational results into actionable insights for cross-functional engineering teams and stakeholders.

**Pay & Benefits**
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.

This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.

The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.

Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

You’ll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses — including tuition.
