Job description

Hidden Level is transforming airspace safety with innovative, scalable drone detection and airspace technology.

We provide real-time, actionable data to enhance security across various environments.

As we expand, we're looking for a Computer / Electrical Engineer for Summer 2026.

As an intern you will gain hands-on experience with our custom hardware and software products.

You can expect to gain meaningful technical experience while helping us accelerate our product development, production, and deployment of our state-of-the-art sensor network.

**Location:** This position is onsite in the Syracuse, NY office.

**As a Computer/Electrical Engineering Intern, you will…**

+ Evaluate next generation hardware, analyze results and make recommendations to the design team.
+ Collaborate across engineering disciplines to develop and test advanced sensor products.
+ Work in a motivated, cross-disciplinary team passionate about solving challenging problems and delivering results.
+ Receive mentorship, guidance, and constructive feedback from experienced engineers.

**Responsibilities: **

+ Support the design team by performing design verification testing of our next generation prototype hardware.


+ Make enhancements to software used to characterize and calibrate custom hardware components and complex sensor systems.


+ Work in a lab environment using digital scopes, signal generators, network analyzers, and temperature chambers.


+ Interface with lab equipment to automate testing.


+ Perform analysis of data collection results and make recommendations to the design team.


+ Support next generation sensor integration, test, and design verification activities including field test events centered around evaluation of drone target detection and tracking performance.





**Required Qualifications: **

+ Enrolled in an accredited degree program majoring in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
+ Completed Sophomore year or greater by Summer 2026.
+ A minimum grade point average of 3.4. Recent transcript is required with application (unofficial transcripts are acceptable)
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and overcome technical challenges through teamwork and collaboration.
+ Strong desire to learn and great communication skills.
+ Some experience working in one or more of the following languages: Python, MATLAB, C, C++, or VHDL.
+ Must be a U.S. Citizen
+ Ability to travel up to 10%

**Salary Range** : The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $23.00 to $27.00 an hour.
