Job description

Our client, a leader in technology solutions, is seeking a Data Center Technician to join their team.

As a Data Center Technician, you will be part of the IT department supporting critical infrastructure operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Job Title:** Computer Hardware Technician
**Location:** Ashburn, VA
**Pay Range:** $23/hour
M-F Core business hours - 8-5p

**What's the Job?**

+ Prepare, stage, set up, and perform **startups and shutdowns of IT equipment** , following specific instructions and safety protocols.
+ Conduct **post-execution quality checks** to ensure proper grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling.
+ Diagnose and **troubleshoot hardware issues** , quickly identifying causes and performing **break-fix repairs** on faulty components.
+ **Decommission hardware** for system refreshes, including **memory upgrades and OS rebuilds** .
+ Monitor systems for **equipment failures or errors** and respond to program error messages effectively.

**What's Needed?**

+ **Computer Science majors** OR **CompTIA A+ or Server+ certifications** .
+ **Experience as a Data Center Technician** , with **hardware break-fix responsibilities** .
+ **Previous experience with Geek Squad computer repair or similar computer repair technician roles** .
+ High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
+ Knowledge of **computer hardware, servers, and components** .
+ 1 year of experience supporting **IT equipment** or related technology.
+ Basic understanding of **Microsoft Office applications** (Outlook, Excel, Word).
+ Flexibility to work **non-standard business hours** , including weekends and/or holidays.
