Sr. Director, Organizational Learning & Talent Strategy – Healthcare Payer Systems


Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)



Innova Solutions is seeking a strategic HR executive to lead enterprise-wide learning, talent development, and change enablement.

This role will architect scalable learning ecosystems and embed skill-based readiness into performance and workforce planning for healthcare payer systems.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in regulated environments, clinical operations, and systems transformation—especially within healthcare and insurance sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organizational Learning Strategy: Build and scale learning frameworks that support onboarding, upskilling, and career mobility across clinical and administrative functions.

  • Clinical & Claims System Readiness: Lead training and change management for claims and clinical systems implementations, streamlining workflows, increasing automation, and reducing compliance risk.

  • Change Management Leadership: Design and execute communication plans, focus groups, and targeted learning programs to support large-scale reorganizations and transformation efforts.

  • Manager & Leadership Development: Launch scalable programs for people managers and senior leaders, including coaching, executive presence, and business acumen.

    Develop frameworks to monitor post-program success, identify knowledge gaps, and measure behavioral change and business outcomes.

    Tech Implementation: Oversee LMS deployment, competency model integration, and performance tool optimization; ensure alignment with HRIS and operational systems.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with clinical operations, IT, and executive leadership to proactively mitigate training risks and ensure readiness across diverse roles.

    Team Leadership: Manage distributed teams of instructional designers, facilitators, and program managers in agile environments.



    Qualifications
  • 15+ years in HR, talent development, or organizational learning, with 5+ years in executive leadership roles.

  • Proven success leading learning and change initiatives in healthcare, insurance, or regulated industries.

  • Experience managing large budgets and cross-functional teams.

  • PMP certification preferred; strong project management and agile delivery skills.

  • Expertise in LMS platforms, digital learning tools, and competency modeling.

  • Familiarity with claims systems and clinical operations training.

  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and strategic planning capabilities.

  • Required Industry Experience
  • Healthcare, insurance, consulting, or benefits management experience required
  • Healthcare Claims systems training experience highly preferred
  • Experience supporting clinical staff, member-facing teams, and administrative functions.

  • PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

    $180,000-220,000/year pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
