KEMET, a YAGEO Group company, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to serve as a Configuration Management Administrator.
We’re seeking a skilled and detail-driven Configuration Management Administrator to manage and enhance our ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
This role is central to maintaining accurate configuration data and supporting automated discovery across our IT landscape.
You’ll work closely with infrastructure and process teams to troubleshoot discovery issues, optimize integrations, and ensure alignment with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and service mapping standards.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Maintain and update configuration items (CIs), relationships, and attributes within the ServiceNow CMDBSupport and optimize ServiceNow Discovery, including MID server configuration, probes, sensors, and patternsCollaborate with infrastructure teams to manage credentials, create discovery schedules, and resolve errorsEnsure CI relationships are properly built and validated, connecting to application and technical servicesCustomize CI classes, workflows, and attributes to meet organizational needs and industry best practicesEnforce CMDB governance policies and procedures to maintain data integrityAssist with Service Mapping efforts and ensure alignment with CSDM principlesSupport ServiceNow integrations (REST APIs, web services, database connections) to enhance CMDB functionalityApply data normalization and standardization practices to improve CMDB quality Qualifications:
3+ years of hands-on experience administering and configuring ServiceNow CMDBStrong experience supporting ServiceNow Discovery, including probes, sensors, patterns, and MID serversFamiliarity with CSDM and Service Mapping frameworksExperience with ServiceNow integrations (REST APIs, web services, database connections)Solid understanding of CI classes, relationships, and workflowsKnowledge of ITIL practices, especially configuration managementProven ability to assess environments, identify gaps, and implement process improvementsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approachProficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and VisioExcellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in cross-functional teams Education and Licensing:
