What you’ll be doing:

Performing field materials testing of soil, asphalt, masonry and concretePreparing detailed and complete field reports with all relevant test results and inspections/observations providedPerforming basic laboratory tests on soil and concrete and preparing reports of resultsEvaluating site and subgrade conditions on construction projects and providing recommendationsCommunicating with clients, contractors, and engineering and technician staff regarding construction issuesOther duties as assigned What you need to have:
12+ months of relevant experienceHigh School Diploma or EquivalentSome construction experience is required.
Prior experience in Field testing is preferred.
Maintenance of ACI Level I Concrete, State DOT, WACEL, or ICC certifications in the disciplines of soils, reinforced concrete, and masonryAbility to read and interpret plans, specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to apply basic mathematical formulas and concepts to calculate quantities, estimate volumes, inspect constructed work, make recommendations in the field and to perform calculations for field and laboratory tests and equipmentAbility to multi-task and meet deadlinesAbility to work independently and within cross-functional teams to achieve goalsExcellent attention to detailsValid driver’s license and good-standing driving recordSome travel will be requiredMust be willing to participate in and pass F&R’s pre-employment screening including a background investigation, drug screening and driving recordAbility to continuously stand and walk throughout the dayAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 70 lbs.
