Construction Project Coordinator
Job Summary: The Construction Project Coordinator supports the successful execution of construction projects by facilitating communication, managing documentation, and ensuring alignment between project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
This role involves coordinating schedules, tracking project progress, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist project managers in planning, scheduling, and coordinating construction activities, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.Maintain and update project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, and change orders.Serve as a point of contact for subcontractors, vendors, and clients, ensuring clear communication and issue resolution.Monitor project progress, track milestones, and report on status updates to project managers and stakeholders.Coordinate material deliveries, equipment rentals, and labor schedules to maintain workflow efficiency.Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company policies.Assist in preparing budgets, cost estimates, and progress reports.Manage meeting schedules, prepare agendas, and document minutes for project-related discussions.Resolve minor project issues and escalate complex challenges to project managers as needed.Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).2+ years of experience in construction coordination, administration, or a related role.Proficiency in project management software (, Procore, MS Project, or similar).Strong understanding of construction processes, blueprints, and safety regulations.Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with diverse teams.Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing project demands.Valid driver s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of local building codes and permitting processes.Experience with budgeting and cost control in construction projects.Familiarity with sustainable construction practices or LEED certification.Work Environment:
Office-based with frequent visits to construction sites.May require occasional evening or weekend work to meet project deadlines.Must be comfortable working in dynamic environments with exposure to construction site conditions.
